After exploring the western half of the Adirondacks, my journey finally brought me to the beautiful Keene Valley, about 20 miles outside of Lake Placid.  Incredible sloping cliffs line the valley, which only get more dramatic when filled with the eye-popping fall color.  This was the first place I stopped along the route and had to take a picture of the colorful reflections of Chapel Pond.  The wind and rain were still howling through the valley, but when slowed down with a long exposure, the tranquility of the pond can be appreciated.
