This was the first shot I took on my 2 week Icelandic adventure. The moss had grown everywhere at the base of this volcano, a foot deep in some areas. It felt like I was walking on pillows and while that was enjoyable, it also made it very difficult to stabilize my tripod for the shot. With the howling wind and rain finally calming down a bit and some beautiful light shining through in the distance, I was able to capture this amazing landscape photo. This first stop in an exhausting Icelandic adventure seemed to set the tone for the unpredictable, yet photogenic weather I would find.
